Things to do

Amongst the many things to see and do in the area are the fabulous Vallee des Singes monkey park (around a 40 minute drive) and the Geants du Ciel where birds of prey give daily free-flying demonstrations within the  ruins of the chateau in the beautiful medieval city of Chauvigny, approximately 1hr 20 mins away. The world famous Futuroscope Theme Park is just past Poitiers and is less than an hours drive away.

During the summer months the popular Nuits Roman outdoor festival takes place in the region with nightly performances of music, theatre, light shows and spectacles.  Vanzay hosted one of these spectacles in 2013 with many residents taking part in the organisation of this event which brought spectators from all over the region.
